Fujifilm boosts TCW Solutions’ digital business with advanced print and finishing solutions

  • Publicado el 10 de Abril de 2014

TCW Solutions is based in London and managed by a team with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. From the start, the company turned to Fujifilm as an established and reliable brand in the print industry to help it to build a more competitive position in the market and improve its range of services.

Working together, TCW Solutions and Fujifilm identified the best solutions to raise the bar in terms of production standards. Following the thorough review of its operations, in the last couple of years TCW Solutions has invested in a series of Xerox high performance colour digital presses supplied by Fujifilm. The initial introduction of a Xerox 1000 and a Xerox 700 machine was followed last year by the purchase of a Xerox Color 800 to manage an increasing volume of work. The company has also invested in its finishing department with the integration of a Duplo System 5000 high-end digital bookletmaker. This hardware was supplemented with XMPie Personal Effect Print Pro server edition, an advanced variable data printing solution that offers additional processing speed enhancements when invoking VDP production.

Tom Lipman, managing director at TCW Solutions, explains: “We specialise in variable data printing and the capabilities offered by XMPie VDP software, in conjunction with the Xerox and Duplo technologies, have allowed us to produce high quality and personalised marketing collateral for our customers.” He adds: “Our Xerox colour presses all have similar configurations giving us the flexibility to shift jobs from one to the other according to our needs, without compromising on production speed and quality output.”

Tom is particularly pleased with the performance guaranteed by Duplo’s System 5000 digital bookletmaker. He comments: “Handling variable content requires a highly automated and intelligent machine at the finishing stage, and the System 5000 perfectly satisfies our needs.“ He clarifies: “This advanced tool includes bar code reader recognition which automatically triggers the bookletmaking sequence. We produce financial booklets and it’s important to ensure the integrity of the documents. The bar code reader functionality ensures that each sheet is collated in the right order so that we can deliver perfectly finished and customised products featuring content, images and dynamic graphs.“

Tom concludes: “Not only does Fujifilm boast a broad range of competitive products that have allowed us to improve our performance and services, it also stands out for its helpful and efficient service. Fujifilm has supported us in the development of an end-to-end, productive and faultless work environment that has enabled us to expand our service offering to customers and broaden our business opportunities.”
