Eurolaser scores points with a combination of laser, milling tool and knife cutter

The printing industry is highly competitive and the competition is becoming increasingly fierce. The often very cheap production plants in Eastern Europe in particular are not making things easy for print specialists here at home. As a result, just focusing on high quality printing techniques is often not enough to ensure success in the long term. Diversification and a clear additional benefit over general mass production can help in this respect.

Flexibility is the key to success. Digital printing has already made it possible to do many things that, a few years ago, were only economically viable when dealing in large quantities. An increasingly important aspect in this competitive environment is the interaction between intelligent digital printing technology and efficient further processing. The interweaving of different technologies and skilful linking of process stages is becoming an increasingly important factor in the competition.

Consequently, flexibility is also an important starting point for the Lüneburg-based company eurolaser GmbH, enabling it to provide operators with the ideal cutting solution. For almost 20 years, eurolaser has specialised in the manufacture of high-quality CO2 laser systems for the cutting of non metals, and today is one of the world's leading companies in this sector. Lasers are extremely well suited to the processing of woods, acrylic glass, plastic foils and textiles. The new cutting machines enable parallel use of mechanical tools.

The modular design of the laser systems now makes it possible for the operator to utilise up to two mechanical tools parallel to the laser. As the laser systems are based on the motion systems of the world market leader for flatbed cutters, the Swiss-based Zünd Systemtechnik AG, the entire high-quality range of Zünd tools is available to the customer.

In addition to milling tools, countless knives and scoring, marking and stamping tools are available. This provides the ideal opportunity to combine the advantages of different processing methods - all on just one machine. A combination which meets the urgent need for flexibility in production. Eurolaser will be in Fespa in Hall B2 on Stand 400.
