ThermoFlexX continues expansion

ThermoFlexX is continuing its recent programme of expansion with the addition of Bart Calis, who has been appointed Product Manager Flexo Prepress with responsibility for promoting ThermoFlexX imagers. For 17 years he worked at leading Belgium repro house Athena Graphics, the last five as technical director, and for much of this time he specialised in the development of new software and hardware technologies. This included pioneering work into process automation and online repro services.

“I was obviously aware of ThermoFlexX and have been extremely impressed by its imagers, which offer the highest quality and fastest output of any flexo imager on the market,” says Mr Calis. “The team at the ThermoFlexX factory in Ypres has twenty years experience in building CTP systems and since moving into the flexo industry in 2012 they have really pushed forward the boundaries of what can be achieved in this area.

“I particularly like the company’s no nonsense approach! The flexo industry has seen rather a lot of ‘marketing-hype’ over the last few years, but ThermoFlexX gets on and does exactly what it says it will. With the recent integration of its imagers within a highly efficient workflow, ThermoFlexX now provides a total pre-press solution for the flexo sector that exceeds anything else available. I am certainly excited at being part of the ThermoFlexX team.”

Christophe Lievens is director sales and marketing for basysPrint and ThermoFlexX. “We’ve brought together at our Ypres factory a combination of experts in software, engineering, electronics and optics and it’s only by maintaining the highest calibre of people at the site that we are able to continually achieve breakthroughs in the field of CTP. We’re delighted that Bart has joined us. His comprehensive ‘hands on’ experience in packaging prepress, RIP and screening technologies plus flexo printing makes him a very important addition to the team,” says Mr Lievens.
