More than 1,000 HP Graphic Arts users gathered at the Dscoop Asia 2014 conference, the fifth annual Dscoop conference for the Asia Pacific region, which ran June 12-13 in Bali. The theme and directive at the conference was “Connecting: Print. People. Profits.” and the conference provided a dynamic educational environment to achieve business success.

The Dscoop Asia conference hosted more than 30 educational sessions and 12 workshops throughout the two-day event, and featured pre-event visits to print service provider sites in Jakarta to get an insider's look at how print service providers in the region are creating business opportunities using HP Indigo and IHPS digital presses and front end solutions.

Attendees were able to see the latest technological advancements, products and services from a record 42 industry partners in the Solutions Showcase, including the sheet-fed HP Indigo 7800 Digital Press and the roll-fed HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Press.

Dscoop Asia conference attendees discovered their educational opportunities would not end with the conference. Dscoop University, powered by HP, officially debuted the first day of the conference to provide members with a year-round educational industry resource. Dscoop University offers a highly-personalized and practical curriculum in a blended learning environment; members have access to online learning, downloadable training materials and instructor-led courses and now, the Dscoop University website is also available in Japanese to fulfil the growing demand for localized education.

Dscoop will host two additional international events this summer. Following a successful event in Rome last November, the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region of Dscoop will host the Dscoop Grandmasters Summit in Budapest, Hungary on June 25-27. Expanding into Latin America, Dscoop will also host Dscoop Days in São Paulo, Brazil on July 14-15 for nearly 300 HP Graphic Arts users.

It is truly exciting news that Dscoop continues to grow and prosper in Asia. The talent and enthusiasm of our board and volunteer in-country teams is unprecedented and they will play an integral role in all we do in the region. Hosting local events from site tours to large gatherings like Dscoop Asia 2014 gives us an opportunity to maximize growth for HP Graphic Arts users. Dscoop offers unparalleled and relevant domain know-how which, simply stated, can’t be found anywhere else in the industry.”
