New plasma treated screen fabrics for increased adhesion

  • Publicado el 28 de Abril de 2015

The proprietary plasma treatment carried out in a controlled environment in Extris’ own manufacturing facilities, in northern Italy, has been developed to enhance fabric’s surface properties, ensuring optimal results across a very broad spectrum of applications.  The SUPREX range from EXTRIS offers increased emulsion adhesion for longer press runs, utmost quality and overall performance improvements for even the most demanding high resolution screen printing jobs.

The entire range comprises fabrics traditionally preferred by textile printers for extremely tough and durable stencils, “Our product is ideal for those markets where the highest image registration standards are required” says Daniele De Rosa, Managing Director, “It cannot be compared to other similar products due to its intrinsic features, as well as for its the Oeko-Tek certification, available on selected ranges.  This additional quality control guarantees that all our fabrics are completely safe and that do not release harmful chemical substances in the environment.”

Formed in 2008 EXTRIS has already become the corporate provider to many large textile firms as well as to the automotive industry.  EXTRIS fabrics are already used globally and the firm has full ISO 9001 and ISO 14001:2004 certifications. The EXTRIS production facility is equipped with Dornier looms, considered by many the most advanced technical fabric looms in existence. All of the yarns used by EXTRIS for its own fabrics are subject to extensive performance testing before going anywhere near a loom.

Daniele adds, “The use of screen printing for electronics and glass remains the best way to get high-quality results and our company will continue to invest in the production of ever better textiles.  Some large players in the screen printing sector are disengaging from the technique and several well-known producers will not even be present at this year’s FESPA exhibition in Cologne.  We remain loyal and committed to technological development, providing greater added value to industrial and textile screen printers around the world.”

EXTRIS, founded in 2008 near Como, the Italian textiles capital, produces high-tenacity monofilament screen printing polyester fabrics.  Unlike other manufacturer our quest for high quality starts from the yarn.  The company sources only those yarns that offer the highest performance or meet specific criteria such as, for example, our antistatic mono-wire fabrics (a carbon covered PA 6.6 wire).

The careful attention to details, together with the latest manufacturing technologies sets us aside from the competition.  By combining tradition with innovation we bring you levels of quality previously unseen in our market.
