At Fespa 2015 Dr. Hönle AG presents its successful jetCure system – in UV, UV-LED and IR
For almost 40 years, UV specialist Hönle has been developing curing systems for the printing industry – and from its very beginning – also for the inkjet printing. Here Hönle products are applied for pinning as well as for final curing. Only recently, Hönle has supplied its 7,500st UV system for the inkjet market.

Over the years, the often customer-specific developments have resulted in a comprehensive range of UV systems which is supplemented by UV-LED units. Frequently a curing concept comprises of a combination of both technologies, UV and UV-LED. This tendency was taken into account by Hönle when further developing their new jetCure series.

Already two years ago, Hönle presented its jetCure, an UV curing system exactly tailored to the requirements of inkjet printing applications, which can be individually adapted to the customer’s demands. With double peak intensity compared to similar UV units, jetCure systems guarantee an excellent curing even at high printing speeds and thus lead to an improved printing quality. jetCure units are equipped with dichroic reflectors for temperature-sensitive materials and are available with lamp spectra to suit the specific inks. All units can be supplied in the process-related length.

At Fespa 2015 Hönle shows its brand new jetCure LED. The highly intensive curing unit combines the merits of a fully developed curing concept with the well-known advantages of LED technology. jetCure LED, too, was especially developed for inkjet printing. Available in different irradiation widths, irradiation lengths and wave lengths, the UV-LED unit can be perfectly adopted to the specific application.  Its lightweight and compact design makes the jetCure LED ideal for the installation on the print carriage.

The latest addition to the product family is the jetCure IR. The typical compact design of the series allows not only an easy integration into the printing press, but also a simple exchange of the IR lamp. Thus, it is very easy to generate different wavelengths just by changing the IR lamp. Depending on the application, a combination with thermal air is possible.

All units of the jetCure series can be equipped with external or integrated cooling. Hönle manufactures all control units for their UV and UV-LED systems in-house. This results in customized activation options, ideal for the curing process and ideal for the user! The possibilities range from a simple „plug & play” table-top via a 19‘‘-draw up to a mounting plate or top hat rail mounting. Control and electric supply offer great design flexibility.  Hönle has the right solution for every demand.
