As the result of the significant effort in innovation and of the investments carried out in recent years, ITASA has developed an advanced technology for the manufacturing of solventless release liners for labeling, which places the company at the forefront of solutions aimed at maximum profitability and efficiency for the client.

The Spanish company will demonstrate at the LabelExpo fair – which is being hosted in Brussels from 29 September to 2 October – its latest labeling applications on the market’s most popular base papers. As such, ITASA once again stands out from the crowd in the sector with a range of options that enables the user to achieve a significant reduction in operational costs when creating labels of any size.

This new example of versatility, which will be exhibited by ITASA at stand C18 in Hall 5 of Labelexpo, gathers its extensive experience in the fabrication of high quality release liners for leading sectors such as that of composites and graphic art. Thanks to its extensive range, the Basque company has managed to address the greatest demand in the market, which is to provide top quality in the volumes and time periods required at an affordable price.

Therefore, ITASA stands out among manufacturers of release liners for labeling due to the reliability of the product properties such as the level of release and the flatness of the paper. With this, it guarantees optimal processing speed during the production of labels and their subsequent application to the product. Furthermore, it is capable of making silicone applications with release levels adapted to the particular needs of each subsequent process the client carries out and of achieving the suitable level of friction in the machine. ITASA is a specialist in silicone paper for the areas of primary and secondary labels as well as labels for printers, copying machines, business forms, and VIP labels in addition to functional and safety labels.

Not only have all of these achievements required extensive work in R&D as well as a firm commitment to the sector, they have also been made possible through constant investment in the latest machinery, individual service for each client and the necessary flexibility, making ITASA the ideal business partner. In the last five years, almost €30 million have been used to acquire technologically advanced machines and expand the company’s facilities. ITASA also has the ability to undertake high volume series at speeds of up to 1000 meters per minutes and can work on widths of up to 2.3 meters. Additionally, the current selection of machines offers the choice of undertaking short, personalized batches and applying special treatments to the back of the paper, printing, adjusting the coefficient of friction and applying 1 to 4 gr of silicone on either side of the substrate.

With annual sales of €60 million and a team of 130 people, ITASA hopes to increase its turnover by 10% during the present tax year. The key to this advancement is its firm commitment to a state-of-the-art, personalized service that adapts to the individual needs of each client. The Spanish firm has international supply capacity and an ambitious plan for geographical expansion in America and Asia, with the aim of offering the same quality release liners worldwide. These further investments are meant to consolidate its sustained, stable growth by simultaneously improving its international presence.
