Dscoop appoints Peter Van Teeseling to drive the growth and success of the community in new global role

Dscoop announced the appointment of Peter Van Teeseling as Dscoop Global Director of Operations. With over four years’ experience as Regional Director, Dscoop EMEA, Peter has implemented numerous successful initiatives and best practices within the EMEA structure. He now plans to bring this extensive experience to his new role and scale these projects for the global Dscoop community.

“Peter has played an integral role in researching, determining the appropriate direction and implementing working tools and application platforms for the global Dscoop organisation,” said John Rogers, Dscoop Global Executive Director. “His collaborative approach with key stakeholders from the Dscoop regions in North America and Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), with our premier sponsor, HP, and our many industry partners, has enabled Dscoop to standardise many of its operations thus becoming more efficient and timely in responding to our community’s needs and partner engagement. In this new capacity he will be responsible for ensuring our business processes will be best in class, and delivery of our value proposition will be the most expedient. The Dscoop Global Board welcomes Peter to the executive team.”

“Just like any other business, Dscoop needs to prepare for the future,” said Peter. “We need to keep adapting to ensure that our members continue to benefit from relevant and valuable resources that help them grow their businesses. For example, last year my team and I introduced a Dscoop EMEA mobile app. The response to the app was incredible and it really helped to strengthen and build regional Dscoop networks. This is just one of the initiatives that I plan to develop for the global Dscoop community, creating a means to keep the entire group connected while maintaining a level of local, personal support, right there in your back pocket.”

Having been greatly involved in the planning and organisation of this year’s Dscoop EMEA conference (5th-8th April 2016, Tel Aviv), Peter will maintain responsibility for this event with the existing team.

Dscoop EMEA 2016 Chairman, Julian Marsh, comments, “The Dscoop conferences provide a unique platform for printing companies from around the world to meet, learn and network. With the new Dscoop ‘open membership’ offering free access to Dscoop’s online resources, the community is growing rapidly and this year’s event promises to be the biggest and most engaging yet. Peter has been instrumental in creating this fantastic conference program, as well as developing and supporting the EMEA network, and we could not imagine completing it without him leading the way. However, Peter is ideally suited to take this role and the EMEA team are really excited for him to now share his skills, experience and knowledge of the organization among the global Dscoop community.”

Having been part of Dscoop EMEA since its inception, Peter affirms that the biggest reward for working within this organisation is hearing examples of how Dscoop has enhanced its members’ businesses and helped them grow.

“Dscoop is like an incubator of positivity, generating constructive feedback, inspiration for new business opportunities and optimism for the road ahead. All of that positive energy is focused in one direction – the future growth and success of the print industry. It’s very satisfying to be involved in that and I look forward to now playing my part on a global level,” concluded Peter.
