Ritrama presents the new Basiano plant state-of-the-art in self-adhesive materials production

  • Publicado el 25 de Marzo de 2016

Ritrama SpA, Italian leading manufacturer of self-adhesive materials in Europe and Worldwide with 23 facilities throughout the world, has always faced new challenges to guarantee to its customers the reliability of a company that owns and makes available the best technology currently known. In line with this philosophy, Ritrama is proud to present the new Basiano Plant, the heart of self-adhesive material production dedicated to the visual communication market.

Covering an area of 14,000 square meters, the new site has two renewed and integrated production lines ensuring high quality standards and even higher production performance: one production line is dedicated to viscom self-adhesives while the second line is reserved to self-adhesive production for tapes and industrial products (Automotive).

Quality is the key word: all incoming products are tested in the internal laboratory. After checking the quality of the materials, the process begins by coating a film with either a water or solvent based adhesive and combining with a backing. The semi-finished jumbo rolls are then stored in the new warehouse and subsequently packed and forwarded to the Ritrama slitting and distribution centres (or in some cases directly to customers) to be converted into rolls of 25 up to 500 linear meters depending on the specific requests.

The Basiano production centre, unique in Italy, fully fulfils the Ritrama Code of Ethics, a modus operandi to protect Company employees as well as to safeguard the environment. The plant, in fact, is equipped with the latest generation ‘emissions abatement system’ where multiple combustion chambers ensure a reduced environmental impact without introducing polluting substances in the air.

The Ritrama attitude of a continuous search to excellence goes beyond this as witnessed by the two following certifications: ISO 9001:2008, the international standard that defines good management practices, and ISO/TS 16949:2009, dedicated to the Automotive production line, a quality management system that defines quality system requirements used in the Automotive, Aeronautic and Pharmaceutical supply chains. ISO/TS, certifying that suppliers are reliable and able to maintain internal processes under control, is based on eight principles of quality management, essential for the adoption of good business practices.

Thanks to this certification, Ritrama has all the credentials to maintain and increase its portfolio of clients all over the world. «The installation of the new Basiano plant is very important for our company and we are very proud of this. We made important investments for its realization, the machinery was completely renewed and housed in a certified production site that guarantees the quality of our employees' environment as well as of our work processes and methodologies to obtain excellent self-adhesive products». said Ronald Rink, General Manager Viscom & Industrial Division.

In the same facility, the new new Decorating School is under construction: a permanent learning centre dedicated to materials, techniques and tools for the application of self-adhesive films. The School will enable the company to be present on the market in an even more dynamic way and to be closer to its customers. The new Basiano plant fully responds to the constant growth and expansion policy combined with a careful attention to the quality of its products, always new and certified, which since 1962 underlines the presence of Ritrama on the domestic and international markets.
