Rogler Software will show at drupa his Software Suite Industry Solution

  • Publicado el 04 de Mayo de 2016

ROGLER Software, with offices in Vienna and Luxembourg, will show its ROGLER|Software Suite industry solution for printing, packaging and labeling with a new look and many new components at the upcoming DRUPA 2016. The suite integrates important innovations in all areas: browser based planning – where mature optimization routines calculate the optimal production sequence and thus contribute significantly to lower costs, packaging printing – where advanced algorithms create the impositions and send them to the prepress department during the preparatory cost calculation, material logistics – where the focus is on material tracking and dynamic inventory planning, and a low-cost cloud solution with a compact entry-level version and automatic cost calculation.

Several interesting new features are additionally available such as the web based CRM module or the BI solution with customized evaluations. The software has a modular architecture, which means each module can also be purchased and installed separately (possibly using data connections). “A network of agents with autonomous intelligence (in this case, for instance, the planning board, the press, the pallet, the roll or the self-driven stacker) provides the framework within which the most advantageous instructions for ongoing steps in a specific situation – in other words the cheapest, fastest or safest depending on the requirements – is determined on the basis of optimization algorithms which are capable of recognizing patterns in large datasets. This will not only revolutionize the way we drive a car in the future; it will also change how we manage companies and control processes,” said Hannes Rogler, Managing Director of ERP system specialist ROGLER Software.

This quantum leap in technology will be mapped by ROGLER in its ERP software, which is explicitly tailored to the needs of the printing industry: the University of Luxembourg is eager to be a driver of research in the field of automation and Industry 4.0, and in this connection has enlisted ROGLER as a cooperation partner on account of the firm’s expertise in production planning and control. “The motor for this development project is the chance to shift the competitive balance in favor of high-wage European countries by realizing savings and, as a result of this, to maintain or re-establish production in Europe”, Rogler emphasized. The joint research findings will be translated directly into practice as a proof of concept to the benefit of customers.

It is by no means only large structures that will profit from these developments. Small and medium-sized enterprises are increasingly turning to optimized core processes as the key to a valuable competitive edge. The following examples are typical: ROGLER|mes – Manufacturing Execution System. Complete production control: Transfer of jobs to the planning process, mathematical optimization of the production sequence, inventory planning (also vendor managed), material flow management, control of outbound deliveries. Example of a core process in industrial production: Maximum automation and optimization of production. The inter-site production control system for the printing units at large online printers is supplied by ROGLER.

ROGLER|logx – Logistics Module: Complete material management, specifically also for finished / semifinished goods and call-off warehouses: Dynamic inventory planning, material ordering – automatic triggering of remakes, reservation of materials, integration of self-driven systems, storage position management including shortest path selection, mobile scanning systems for material collection, storage, retrieval and stock transfer, pallet and roll tracking, automatic postings, etc. Example of a core process in a medium-sized business: Optimized inventory management with a high proportion of finished and semifinished products. The complete MIS, including the logistics module for Kalenderfabrik Plauen, is supplied by ROGLER.

ROGLER|web – Web Portal / Online Shop: Interaction between the agency and the printer: B2B online shop system for processing orders for printed products from the agency’s key accounts – e.g. name and address management for business cards, rights management, online editing of templates and order placing by the customer, delivery notes, integration of press-ready PDFs in the workflow (in this case HP Indigo). Example of a core process in a small business: Streamlined processing of standard orders, high customer loyalty. The B2B online shop system for the agency (JORK) and the printer (Prokop KG of Vienna) is supplied by ROGLER. ROGLER will demonstrate how the existing potential for optimization can be leveraged at DRUPA 2016 from May 31 to June 10 in Hall 7a, Stand F 44 and Hall 7, Stand A 04 (DIP)!

ROGLER Software GmbH, established in 1992 as a provider of software for the graphic communications market with offices in Vienna and Luxembourg, serves customers in nine European countries. Its portfolio includes one of the leading JDF / JMF enabled MIS / PPS solutions: ROGLER|Software Suite. The suite maps a company’s complete workflow from CRM through cost calculations for all printing processes, order management, material logistics and production data collection to controlling (e.g. Using BI). The software has a modular architecture. The ROGLER|plan Electronic Planning Board acts as a central monitor for process visualization.
