Krause is known since many years for automation solutions in the CTP area and utilizes the experience of newspaper production at drupa, in order to show a fully automated commercial plate production from the pallet to the sorter. The "Krause Commercial Line" with workflow, pallet loader, platesetter incl. punch, processor plus conveyor with bender and sorting works with the Krause Pallet Loader from the plate pallet with the delivered plates to the print-ready bent printing plate in the sorter without manual intervention. The hereby achieved level of automation is rarely being utilized in the commercial printing so far, but represents the day to day practice for the automation specialist Krause in newspaper application.

The digital imposition gets more and more the control center of a modern printing company if the program will be interfaced with other systems. The Krause Imposition Manager will be released at drupa in version 7.5 and is today the the core part of many printers. KIM user interface is based on a known prepress workflow and allows the import and export of JDF job tickets plus the effective integration of leading MIS and workflow systems. Kim accepts PDF files plus CSV and XML data, offers libraries for imposition, folded sheets, print sheet templates, print marks and machine parameters and in conjunction with the KIM production profiles enables a fully automatic imposition, so that KIM saves time and reduces human errors. For the sheet optimization, especially in the online printing, KIM provides in connection with the AutosPrint solution the unique combination of bound and unbound products to be automatically optimized on the print sheets.

For newspaper application Krause will present the Krause PlateStream a new platesetter concept with violet laser, that will be the benchmark in the field of plate handling and speed of 400+ plates at 1270dpi, the integration of industry 4.0 and 3D printing components and operating efficiency. "The goal was to integrate our proven technology from various platesetters with the latest developments in the field of electronics, sensors and actuators and combine them with multi-functional 3D printing elements of Krause DiMaTec to bring the networking of humans with machines to new levels" quotes Thomas Richter - Technical Director at Krause-Biagosch. The new platesetter will be demonstrated together with the BlueFin LowChem with Clean Process Kit for clean and sustainable LowChem application.
