Futec invites drupa visitors to win a trip to Japan

  • Publicado el 09 de Junio de 2016

Futec, a pioneer of 100% automatic flaw detection systems for print and surface inspection for commercial, packaging and label markets, has announced details of a drupa competition that offers event visitors the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip for two to Japan. The competition invites drupa visitors to find a name for FUTEC’s new plug-and-play Smart Cameras, which will be launched at the show. The new cameras provide 100% inspection of web-printing applications and the inspection and quality control of plain surfaces.

To enter the ‘Find me a name’ product naming contest, visitors to the FUTEC drupa stand (Hall 15, Stand A08) simply need to suggest a name for the new Smart Camera and submit this with a business card. One entry will be allowed per person. The name for the camera will be announced on the last day of drupa once the lucky winner has been notified.

Silvio Neumann, one of FUTEC’s European Sales Managers, comments: “Our Japanese heritage is at the heart of all our innovations and operations so we’re absolutely delighted to be giving away this amazing 10-day trip for two to Japan. Our in-house R&D department constantly pushes the boundaries to remain at the forefront of technological developments. Our new Smart Cameras with integrated processing technology are a great example of that.”

Offering integrated processing technology, the compact Smart Cameras easily connect to a PC without the need to install a separate signal processing board. As a result, FUTEC’s Smart Cameras can, with minimum downtime, be easily incorporated into existing processes during both the installation and camera alignment process.

FUTEC’s integrated ‘Anywhere/Anytime’ feature allows remote system access to continuously monitor production quality from any location via a web browser. The collected data can also be used to meet the requirements of Industry 4.0. Customers who have tried and tested the new Smart Cameras have cited improved quality, optimised production processes and a reduction in waste as the main benefits. Depending on the size of the web, users can connect multiple cameras to provide optimum inspection.

On its stand at drupa, FUTEC will be demonstrating the new Smart Cameras in conjunction with web guiding systems from Maxcess. At drupa, FUTEC will also be previewing the new Elastic FREEEZE! feature; a specially-designed software for the printing industry that provides advanced algorithms for the company’s 100% Printed Web Inspection Systems. The new, efficiency-enhancing feature helps maintain throughput by eliminating false detection errors caused by the expansion and contraction of elastic materials.

“FUTEC is heavily committed to the print industry and as such we’ve just recently expanded our operations in Europe so we can provide even better on-site maintenance of our new technical developments and deliver better care for our European customers”, concludes Silvio Neumann.
