GMG presents innovative software for predictable color results

  • Publicado el 07 de Septiembre de 2016

At LuxePack 2016, held on 21–23 September, GMG will be presenting its impressive solutions for accurate colors, which help packaging professionals achieve better quality in less time. "The results must be good – both in terms of quality and costs," Robert Weihing, Managing Director of GMG, states. "Anyone with a passion for developing high-quality packaging designs must be able to rely on accurate color results in their production, without the need for time-consuming optimization efforts and experiments."

Not least thanks to its revolutionary spot color functionality, the profiling tool GMG OpenColor is considered a genuine printing machine simulator, particularly for the packaging market. Overprinting effects, different substrates, changes to the color sequence – GMG OpenColor is the only software suite in the world that produces absolutely precise predictions for these complex requirements. The data calculated by GMG OpenColor can even be used to produce color-consistent halftone proofs. This is where the seamlessly integrated proofing software GMG ColorProof comes in. It is considered the superior choice by scores of experienced users across the globe: long set-up times and coordination phases are drastically reduced, even for CMYK-only prints.

For the editing of image files in the pre-print stage, Adobe Photoshop is considered the de-facto standard tool. Especially users who work with demanding packaging data will benefit from the new, smart GMG ColorPlugin, which offers a range of groundbreaking functions. This compact tool reduces operations that previously required complicated workarounds and a great deal of effort to a few simple mouse clicks. Not only is the GMG ColorPlugin incredibly efficient, the intelligent tool also offers an unprecedented level of flexibility in the field of image processing.
