Lake Image Systems to exhibit their latest label inspection solutions at Labelexpo 2016

  • Publicado el 07 de Septiembre de 2016

Lake Image Systems Inc., the leaders in variable data integrity and print quality inspection for the packaging, labels, and commercial print industries, is pleased to announce that they will be exhibiting at Labelexpo Americas 2016 (Stand #F-6521) which is being held on 13 - 15, Sept 2016 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, IL, USA. As North America's leading trade show for the label printing industry, Labelexpo Americas 2016 is on track to be the largest edition yet and will have a renewed and significant focus on package printing.

From Tax Stamps on cigarettes and liquor, anti-counterfeit labels on drugs and high value consumer goods to tracking & shipping labels on packaging, the use of smart labels incorporating serialization, barcodes, RFIDs and security marks with sophisticated tracing and tracking systems are on the increase. However ensuring the highest standards in variable data integrity, readability and quality for these labels during production can be a major problem, resulting in enforcement and tracking issues further downstream which ultimately results in revenue losses.

With the demand for high quality, error free labels growing, Lake Image Systems will be demonstrating its industry winning, high performance, inspection solutions for Label and Packaging converters.

Solutions being demonstrated on the Lake Image booth include: Pharmaceutical Label Print & Verification Solution: As the pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging industry continues to be revolutionized by technology, pharmaceutical labels are playing an important role in operational efficiency, security and compliance. Lake Image will be demonstrating its Pharmaceutical Label Print & Verification Solution, fully integrated on a Graphi-Mecc EL- VDC roll to roll label machine. The solution inkjet prints variable barcodes and data on pharmaceutical labels and then verifies every label to ensure that all barcodes and important text are readable and correct. The solution also grades each label to ensure linear, 2D, GS-1 and data matrix barcodes comply with guaranteed contract specifications.

Encoded RFID Verification with Print Quality Assurance Solution: When producing thousands of RFID Labels going through multiple production steps, this will invariably introduce errors that undermine confidence in the RFID technology and increases production costs. Lake Image will be demonstrating its RFID Verification Solution, built on a WEB TECHNIQUES Rewind System, which automatically reads and validates the RFID encoded data and performs a print quality inspection process. The solution ensures that the encoded RFID data matches against the master database and/or matches what is printed on the label and checks for positional and printing errors such as ink spots, streaks and voids.

Centralized Duplicate Label Detection Solution: Today all products have some form of identification labels on them, such as a part number, a reference code or a tracking number, typically in the form of a barcode. Ensuring they are correct, readable and most importantly, unique is critical to the smooth running of all industrial processes from production and order processing, through to transportation and delivery. Lake Image will be showing its Discovery Enterprise server, which checks for duplicate labels not only for the current job or device but across multiple label converters and printers across multiple production sites. The solution even checks for duplication across all previous label jobs converted within a specific timeframe.

Tax Stamp Inspection Solution: Automatically reading and verifying OCR text and barcodes on Tax Stamps with highly reflective surfaces and holographic security features can be notoriously difficult on high speed narrow web label converters. Based on Discovery Maxscan, the winner of last year’s Global Label Industry’s Innovation Award, Lake Image will demonstrate how this revolutionary, compact scanner technology provides uniform and true 600DPI image color resolution and overcomes these challenges.

“With the variable data capability of digital label presses growing rapidly, many of our clients have adopted a zero-tolerance to errors approach in order to mitigate any potential risks. This makes it imperative for them to ensure that every label is 100% accurate every time it is used." Commented Scott Stevens President of Lake Image Systems Inc. “We are excited to exhibit at Labelexpo once again and to demonstrate how our latest, innovative & market driven solutions can enable our customers to manage their business risks and to increase their bottom line by automating inspection process, improving overall print quality and reducing waste.”
