Screen and Komori unite to bring commercial printers the ‘Best of Both’ in unique showcase

Screen Europe announces its first “Best of Both 2016” Open House event which will take place on 5th and 6th October in The Netherlands. At the event, Screen joins with Komori for the very first time to show commercial print specialists the very latest in high-speed continuous web-fed inkjet and B2 sheet-fed offset. In just 1 day companies will have the unique opportunity to visit Screen and Komori’s impressive European showrooms in The Netherlands, giving them the opportunity to see the latest presses and workflow in action while exploring creative, value-added applications using a variety of substrates.


At Screen Europe’s fully-equipped Print-on-Demand Showroom visitors will experience the ‘game-changing’ high-speed Truepress Jet 520HD continuous inkjet press in action. It uses aqueous pigment inks to print high quality at high speed (1500 colour pages or 120 metres a minute) on a range of paper stocks. It’s perfect for a wide range of commercial print applications including books, catalogues and direct mail. During the event personalised publications will be printed and finished and two companies will explain how they are using their Truepress 520HD presses grow their business by creating added-value customised products, quickly and efficiently.


At Komori Europe’s Graphics Centre visitors will experience the innovative new Komori Impremia IS-29 B2 sheet-fed LED-UV inkjet press printing 3,000sph simplex/1,500sph duplex alongside the new Komori Lithrone GL-529+C offset press launched at drupa. This multi-purpose, highly automatic, fast makeready press prints at 16,500 sph with superb high-speed stability even on heavy stock. Explore the management power enabled by cloud-based KP-Connect plus limitless printing applications and a diverse range of substrates.


Visitors can pick the day that suits them best: on the 5th October the event starts at Screen in Amstelveen (just 15 minutes from Amsterdam airport) in the morning and moves to Komori in Utrecht in the afternoon. Visitors on the 6th October start at Komori (only 30 minutes from the airport) and finish at Screen.
