Sun Chemical to debut Suntex encore at Heimtextil 2017

  • Publicado el 26 de Octubre de 2016

Sun Chemical will present its portfolio of SunTex textile inkjet inks to the interior decoration and home furnishings markets on stand C28 in Hall 6, at Heimtextil 2017. Central to its offering at Heimtextil will be SunTex Encore, its range of direct print water-based pigment inks, which present significant advantages for a range of soft furnishings and interior décor print applications.

SunTex Encore is offered as a multi-colour ink set that combines CMYK, red, green, blue and grey to give a clean and bright colour gamut, which is attractive for pigmented textile inkjet inks. SunTex Encore also delivers excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates including natural and synthetic textile fabrics such as cotton, viscose, silk and poly-cottons. In addition, its excellent wash and wet-rub resistance as well as its high levels of durability to colour and light fading makes SunTex Encore particularly suited to the printing of a wide range of soft furnishings and interior décor applications.

This highly versatile ink benefits from the cost-efficient and flexible production capabilities of inkjet print technology, which eliminates the need for additional and complex post treatment processes. This increases output, reduces additional finishing costs and also allows for the cost effective production of bespoke or personalised applications as well as enabling smaller print runs to take advantage of changing fashion and seasonal trends.

James Gould, Product Manager, Digital Aftermarket at Sun Chemical comments: “Inkjet is definitely growing in popularity for use with home furnishings and interior décor applications due to its quick turnaround times and ability to provide customised designs, trending colours and seasonal designs. Heimtextil will be a great place to connect with retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers as well as fabric suppliers to showcase the true potential of inkjet in this sector. The fact that Hall 6 is now a dedicated digital print at Heimtextil illustrates the growth in interest for digital inkjet production in this market sector.”

Other products within the SunTex textile inks portfolio on display on the Sun Chemical stand at Heimtextil 2017 will include: SunTex Sonata - a series of dye sublimation transfer inks and disperse-dye direct print inks for polyester and polyester-rich substrates; and SunTex Concerto RDE - a range of reactive dye inks for direct printing onto natural fabrics such as cotton, viscose, silk and wool.

Representatives from SunJet - Sun Chemical’s dedicated inkjet team - will also be on hand to present how the introduction of inkjet technology can deliver significant cost and production benefits for home furnishing and interior décor print applications. The SunJet team will also be available to discuss the potential for collaborative development projects with visitors and OEMs looking to incorporate inkjet technology into their own solutions and applications.
