  • Publicado el 21 de Diciembre de 2016

NESCHEN the traditional brand for more than 125 years is facing a safe future. With effect from 1 December 2016 NESCHEN Coating GmbH as a subsidiary of BLUE CAP AG has taken over the business operation of NESCHEN. BLUE CAP AG, a listed company with its registered office in Munich, was found as a new owner that specialises in the further development of medium-sized technology-driven companies whilst preserving the corporate identity. The new company has taken over the complete Bueckeburg staff and continues business operations to the full extent and without a transitional period. Preparations for this started 1 July 2016 and have been concluded with the transfer of operations. The subsidiaries of the NESCHEN trade organisation FILMOLUX in Benelux, Germany, France, Italy and Austria were transferred entirely to NESCHEN Coating GmbH.

There is a great relief amongst the Bueckeburg employees and the European subsidiaries. Due to failures in the operational structure during the past years the company had to file for insolvency under self-administration in July 2015. It soon became clear that there was a considerable acquisition interest in the coating specialist from Lower Saxony. The good news for employees and customers of the company were that with BLUE CAP AG a bidder with an investment portfolio and expert knowledge of the industry prevailed. This will pay off shortly through synergy effects and will provide a strategic continuity for the coating specialist in the long run. With the transition in NESCHEN Coating GmbH insolvency is terminated for the brands NESCHEN and FILMOLUX.

In the course of the takeover Kai Tittgemeyer was appointed as managing director of NESCHEN Coating. Since 2014 Kai Tittgemeyer has been working as plant and production manager at NESCHEN. As one of the first measures the 48-year-old manager wants to expand research and development at NESCHEN in order to develop new innovative products for the business units GRAPHICS, DOCUMENTS and INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS. In addition, development and independence of the belonging trade company FILMOLUX group shall be further developed in Europe. “With the FILMOLUX group NESCHEN already today has its own sales channel and a real unique selling proposition compared to European competitors. We are going to expand in the near future in order to be able to make our high-quality service and full product expertise of FILMOLUX available to printers, advertising engineers and creative persons” Kai Tittgemeyer comments.

Dr. Hannspeter Schubert, CEO of BLUE CAP AG, also expressed an optimistic view: “We have been watching NESCHEN for many years and now we are very pleased to enhance our brand portfolio with NESCHEN and FILMOLUX. Last but not least NESCHEN is the perfect addition to the adhesives companies PLANATOL and BIOLINK. Both companies are also subsidiaries of BLUE CAP. The resulting synergies of all three companies will have a positive impact on the customers. Furthermore, in the area of INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS I see a growth driver for the future company NESCHEN Coating. Here, the product development focuses on protection and functional films”.

In the area of functional coating of sheet type materials Neschen Coating GmbH develops innovative coating solutions for every requirement. The Bueckeburg company produces and sells digital print, adhesive and protection media under the brand name of Neschen. Under the umbrella of Neschen Coating GmbH, Filmolux as an independent dealer sells the Neschen product portfolio and selected retail products in Germany, Benelux, Italy, Austria and France. Due to global product purchasing and efficient information and goods logistics the Filmolux sales organisation offers its customers a wide product range and high-quality service in the visual communication and book preservation market. Around 300 employees of the brands Neschen and Filmolux generated an annual turnover of approx. 60 million Euros in 2015.
