PROKOM launches into Canada and is backed by Konica Minolta

PROKOM, the independent community of Konica Minolta production printing users, has today announced the launch into Canada, following successful starts in Europe and north America. As part of ongoing commitment and support to the print industry, Konica Minolta Business Solutions (Canada) Ltd. (Konica Minolta) will sponsor the foundation of this member-led community.

Companies across Canada are being invited to join PROKOM, the community of Konica Minolta production print and industrial print users, to share ideas through joint discussions, develop and grow efficient digital communication services, as well as become a platform for members to express their own voice and cross-pollinate with others in the industry.

PROKOM provides opportunities for members to connect, learn and grow through networking events. They can actively engage with Konica Minolta’s senior management about their priorities for future design, functionality, technology and services while building profitable long-lasting relationships. The company’s hope is that it will result in the development of cutting-edge industry relevant solutions.

“The power of a community is that it enables individuals to connect, share experiences and learn,” said Andy Barber, chairman and managing director (Digital) UK Mail Ltd. “There is one common objective: to grow their businesses and to keep print firmly as a medium where members understand its potential in a multi-channel world. PROKOM allows us to do all that – and more.

“Now, with our colleagues from Canada joining, we have an even bigger voice as we continue to grow the community across the globe. We look forward to users from Canada also sharing benefits from membership and from the important events we will be running.”

First up will be PROKOM’S inaugural global conference, “Power of PROKOM”, in Vienna, Austria, from 10-12 May, 2017. It is being sponsored by Konica Minolta and, says Andy Barber, will be “packed with industry-leading keynote speakers”.

“We are committed to supporting a platform where print professionals have the opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders, access support tools and ultimately grow their client base,” said Chris Dewart, president and CEO, Konica Minolta. “PROKOM elevates the Konica Minolta community by enabling its users to build growth strategies and maximize business opportunities.”
