MBO presents the reliable K70 and Datamanager 4.0 at China Print

  • Publicado el 09 de Mayo de 2017

Print is taking place for the ninth time this year. The trade fair is held every four years and is one of the largest and most important exhibitions for the printing industry. It runs from 9 to 13 May 2017 in Beijing. The folding machine manufacturer MBO will once again be exhibiting, together with its subsidiary MBO Binder Graphic Systems (Beijing) Co. Ltd. Alongside twelve other German companies, MBO will be located in the German pavilion, which is organised by the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA). MBO can be found on stand 130-2 in hall E1.

The company will be presenting its K70 combi folder. This large format folding machine is ideally suited for producing signatures. It is the successor to the K760E, which was a market success for many years. This means that the K70 is based on highly reliable technology and is therefore a robust workhorse. With an operating speed of 210 m/min (690 ft/min), it is faster than its predecessor. In addition, the K70 comes with the new M1 control system, including a touch screen, which makes it easy to set up. High-precision pneumatic crossfold and threefold knives allow for a faster throughput and also keep wear to a minimum.

Alongside the K70, MBO will also be demonstrating the functionality of its Datamanager 4.0 software. This allows for smart planning and analysis of the finishing process and reduces down time. Data relating to the customer and the order, such as the materials used, the sheet size and the fold types, is entered in Datamanager 4.0. The software ensures that the folding machine receives all the information it needs for a highly efficient set-up process. The folding machine sends all the production-related data, including production and auxiliary process times and any jams, back to Datamanager 4.0. This allows an objective final costing to be produced and increases the quality and efficiency of the finishing process.
