Super stand for ETI Converting Equipment, which was well located in hall 7. The Canadian company, specialized in multifunctional in-line coating and printing equipment, drew large crowd during the four days of the exhibition. Label printers who attended the demos understood the numerous advantages of having the possibility to manufacture their own pressure sensitive material or labels: Cost savings, flexibility, control the complete process, make unique products that the competition cannot accomplish, reverse printing on a clear film to avoid the need of an over-lamination, etc.
Visitors were also curious and interested by the ETI linerless solution. Indeed, the Cohesio technology offers the possibility of manufacturing in-line linerless labels at the speed of 150 m/min (500 ft/min). This proven advanced technology is simple and versatile. It brings a long-awaited solution to printers as it can print on both sides of the label without a liner. This equipment is designed for high speed automatic application. The Pellicut was also very popular. This high speed rotary die-cutting unit allows to die-cut on very thin liner polyester film (.72 mil) or glassine paper (20lb).
Once again, based on the huge interest generated by the Mini-Cohesio and its new coating head capable of applying as little as 12 grams (½ mil) of UV hotmelt adhesive, as well as 9 grams of regular hotmelt, on 520 mm (20 ½”) width at 150m/min (500 ft/min), ETI anticipates that sales will continue to grow over the coming months.
