The term automation refers to everything that is necessary to run a machine without human intervention. Automation was born with the main purpose of replacing man in particularly tiring, harmful or repetitive operations. In recent decades, the development of technologies has led to a real revolution in this field. For so long remained on the margins of automation processes, recently the field of cutting machines has made strong progress.

In the last years, referring to flat-bed cutting machines, no one could really use the word automation, because almost everything was related to the operator’s skills. Today, however, we have seen the situation changing with a sensible increase in terms of automation offer.

On one side, the research carried out by some brands has led to the development of high tech and reliable machinery , but most of the time very expensive and not user friendly, suitable exclusively for large productions. On the other hand, some brands have launched small, space saving and affordable automatic cutting machines, accessible even to small and medium sized companies; but these machines are able to work only a few types of materials and have shown low long-term reliability and poor cutting precision.

There are small and medium sized companies that need to automate their production processes but which are limited in space and budget: so, which equipment should they buy to match with their need of growth? Valiani, for its 45th anniversary, has been working on a new automated medium-sized cutting machine that meets the needs of continuous productivity . This machine from Valiani, which will enter the market in the second quarter of 2020, is bound to have a major impact in the market thanks to the cutting-edge Italian engineering and, above all, because it’s going to fill an empty space of the market.
