IMI Europe brings a truly exciting programme this autumn, assembled by chairs Mike Willis of Pivotal Resources and Debbie Thorp of iTi – imaging Technology international. The event will take place in Barcelona from 4 till 6 November.

We will explore the potential for ink jet presses with IT Strategies and the issues of transpromo with InfoTrends, get an update on two of the most significant new ink jet web press developments from Eastman Kodak and Hewlett-Packard, and an update on the new high-speed solid ink developments from Xerox.

The potential for ink jet in the packaging industry will also feature heavily, with the latest on digital label printing at LabelExpo Europe from Labels & Labelling magazine, speakers from Linoprint: Heidelberg and Tonejet discussing printing technology, and from Agfa inks specifically for these applications.  Xennia has a new view on the textile industry, Ardeje the potential for ink jet in manufacturing applications, and Cyan on how integrators can integrate ink jet into real production environments.

Inks play an important role in all ink jet applications, and as well as an insightful overview and some predictions from SunJet, we have Sensient talking about a new range of colorants for high-speed printing.  There is an evolution in the technology to cure UV inks, and EXFO will review current techniques and future potential as well as explaining radiometry of light sources.

Piezo printhead technology is key for the future, and we have presentations from Fujifilm Dimatix updating us on the Samba single pass printheads, Xaar will talk about higher speed printing, Toshiba TEC on high quality printing and Samsung will discuss their new MEMS-based printhead for printed electronics.  New technology for greyscale electronics is featured in TTP’s presentation, and ImageXpert will discuss the importance of automated inspection for both ink jet development and quality control.

As well as all of these great presentations, this event also offers great networking opportunities, with two receptions and one lunch included, and all registrants are welcome to give a 5 minute presentation in our scheduled “Suppliers Forum”.  Also you can sign up for a free table-top display, but book early as this space is limited.
