viscom düsseldorf 2011 looking for most creative light advertising

Light advertising has always been one of viscom’s core segments. And the topic still plays a major role at the trade fair. Approximately one third of last year’s trade visitors to the fair indicated a particular interest in this segment. Reason enough to give light advertising an additional forum with an award of its own: for the last tree years, viscom has been granting the Best Practice Award Light Advertising to well-designed illuminated sign installations. In 2011, the International Trade Fair for Visual Communication, Technology and Design is again looking for extraordinary projects from the segment of light advertising.

In evaluating the entries, the overriding criterion is the creativity of the solution. The technology applied, materials used, dimensions of the sign, method of installation, integration of the sign into its surroundings and design will also be considered, however. The expert jury can nominate up to ten entries which will be publicised prior to the trade fair. The winners will be announced during viscom düsseldorf 2011.

Until 1 July, light advertising specialists, advertising agencies, planners of light installations, customers as well as manufacturers of the materials used are eligible to enter their projects for the Best Practice Award Light Advertising. All illuminated sign projects that went into operation between 30 July 2010 and the closing date for registration can be entered. The award competition is also open to companies who are not exhibitors at viscom.
