InfoTrends study to reveal European Brand Owners' Views on Packaging

Printed packaging and labels are critical to brand management for makers of consumer goods, so meeting the needs of brand owners is the core objective of package and label printing. Nowhere is that more true than in Europe, a rich, varied region that leads the world in packaging innovation. InfoTrends’ new study, Packaging and the Brand Owner: Europe will reveal European brand owners’ views on key issues, including future needs, and offer valuable insights to suppliers of print technology and their converter customers.

In label printing, color digital printers are a growing alternate to conventional presses, while in folding cartons and flexible packaging, color digital printing is debuting as an option for printing short runs. Brand owners are welcoming – short run digital printing is a great benefit to them, because brands need to target markets precisely and to be lean in manufacturing and supply chains. This study will answer specific questions about brand owners as well as: Assess brand owners’ top concerns about brand management, analyze the role of printing in addressing those concerns, guide press, software and media vendors, and converters to meet brand owners’ needs.

“This study will poll brand owners in Europe about issues that affect market demand for color printing, especially digital printing, and it will gather insights from converters as well,” says Bob Leahey, Associate Director for InfoTrends’ Color Digital Label and Packaging Service. “Our report will give both quantitative and qualitative insight into brand owners’ thinking,” he added.
