EFI Acquires printLEADER

EFI announced that it has acquired the assets of privately held printLEADER. printLEADER, with headquarters in Palm City, Fla., is a provider of print MIS (management information systems) software products for the printing industry. While financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, the acquisition is not expected to be material to EFI's Q2 or full-year 2013 results.

Fujifilm launches corrugated solution targeting POP display

Fujifilm announces the launch of a unique solution for POP corrugated board printers. The solution is a combination of the Inca Onset S40i, Fujifilm's brand new, innovative Uvijet OC inks, and its new handling system that was previewed in January. One of the inherent challenges for printing corrugated board is managing distorted (bowed) substrates. Depending on the severity of the distortion, various methods (skids, rollers, print height adjustment) can be been used to overcome this issue, but all affect print quality.
HP to showcase large-format printing solutions at FESPA

HP announced it will showcase a range of large format printing solutions and applications addressing the needs of sign and display print service providers (PSPs) and corrugated packaging converters at FESPA Digital 2013, 25 – 29 June, at ExCeL London, HP stand H505/H805. HP will demonstrate indoor and outdoor applications produced using HP Latex Printing Technologies as well as flexible and rigid projects printed with HP UV-curable solutions.

Color Quality Solution is the result of cooperation of QuadTech and hubergroup

QuadTech, a provider of control systems for the printing industry has released a faster, more secure method designed to achieve and maintain a perfect color in cooperation with the ink manufacturer hubergroup. This is achieved by data from an inline color measuring system, processed with offline color measurement technologies. The new system for in-line measurement was seen and experienced on the 7th of to 11th 2013 May in Milan at the Grafitalia /Converflex, which is aimed at printshops and converters.

On 22 April 2013, the Management Board of Lüscher AG Maschinenbau noted a situation of over-indebtedness and requested the commencement of bankruptcy proceedings with the responsible authorities.
