Much interest in WEKO's latest DigiCon remoistening system for digital printing
WEKO – Weitmann & Konrad GmbH & Co. KG – presented current solutions to the trade fair visitors at the drupa in Düsseldorf that were met with great enthusiasm by machine manufacturers, print shops and further processing facilities alike. Using the motto "Don`t play – work with precision" WEKO presented innovative solutions and concepts with great success at this year's drupa facilitating process optimisation for the user both in digital printing and sheet-fed offset.
Successful drupa for W&H
Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H), a specialist in machinery for manufacturing flexible packaging, drew a very positive conclusion from drupa 2016. Several thousand attendees visited W&H and subsidiary GARANT at the show; approx. 800 visitors travelled to the in-house EXPO at company headquarters in Lengerich, and order intake reached into the high eight figure range. “At drupa, our fingers were firmly on the pulse with our slogan ‘PACKAGING 4.0’. We used our new presses, the MIRAFLEX II C and the DYNASTAR, as a platform to demonstrate how intelligent machines, integrated processes and intuitive handling are already increasing the efficiency of traditional flexographic and gravure printing,” explains Dr. Jürgen Vutz, Chairman of the Board at W&H.

hubergroup inks for today's UV printing
Prompted by its relocation of UV ink production from Lachen in Switzerland to its German mother plant at Kirchheim, the printing-ink manufacturer hubergroup decided to update many of its products for the UV offset segment. Following a comprehensive test phase, these upgrades have now reached full market-readiness. Konica Minolta, Vpress and Tharstern show power of AccurioJet KM-1 at drupa 2016
Konica Minolta has joined forces with alliance partners Tharstern and Vpress on its booth at drupa to demonstrate how it can integrate highly automated workflows and cloud-based technology – including JDF – into the AccurioJet KM-1 Inkjet Manager. At drupa 2016, HP Inc. announced its partnership with Henkel AG & Company, KGaA to further develop adhesive solutions that are highly compatible with HP Indigo ElectroInk, reinforcing the viability of digitally produced flexible packaging.
