Inca Digital celebrates 10 years of breaking inkjet records

Rochester Institute of Technology Receives new NELA Vision Register Plate Punch and Bender

NELA is proud to announce the delivery of a NELA Vision PunchBender (VCP) to Rochester Institute of Technology’s Printing Applications Laboratory in Rochester, NY. It replaces an older NELA Ternes 3-point bender that was donated to RIT in 2001.
EskoArtwork extends strategic partnership with HP

Open house shows first Latin American installation of Gallus ECS 340

The company C5 Design hosted an open house at its facility in Tultitlán on the outskirts of Mexico City on the day after the Label Summit Latin America in May 2010. Around 40 people saw demonstrations of the Gallus ECS 340 granite press, the first installation of the machine in Latin America.
KBA see a perceptible upturn in printing press sector

At the 85th annual shareholders’ meeting of press manufacturer Koenig & Bauer AG (KBA) in Würzburg, president and CEO Helge Hansen reported that demand for both sheetfed and web presses had picked up strongly since March. According to preliminary figures, the order intake of €500m for the first five months of the current business year was almost 23% up on the prior-year figure. Since 1 January the order backlog has increased by a good €160m to almost €500m.

HP Selects ONeil Data Systems to Serve as Beta Test Site for New HP T200 Color Inkjet Web Press

Los Angeles-based O’Neil Data Systems, the company that in 2008 became first print service provider (PSP) in the world to install HP’s groundbreaking Color Inkjet Web Press technology, will install the new HP T200 Color Inkjet Web Press this summer. The HP T200 Color Inkjet Web Press is a 521-mm (20.5-inch) wide, full-duplex, four-colour press in a single engine for high-speed, high-volume production printing.
LYFT Visual Gets Boost in Short-run Projects with Agfas :Dotrix Modular Digital Press

Agfa Graphics announced that Agfa’s :Dotrix Modular digital press has been installed at Boehmer Box’s LYFT Visual of Canada, a packaging printer that manufacture carton and packaging products, signage and POP materials. LYFT Visual were created out of parent company Boehmer Box in order to accommodate variable data projects. A digital environment, including the :Dotrix, was necessary to help brand owners make the most of their logos and designs in multiple applications.

Treballs Grafics has added MGI’s Meteor DP60 Pro multi-substrate digital press, giving them a complete digital printing & spot UV coating solution in combination with the JETvarnish.  Treballs Grafics, a well known commercial printer in Barcelona, Spain, confirmed the order of a JETvarnish and Meteor DP60 Pro on MGI’s IPEX stand. Mimaki showcases UJF-8366 a new UV LED curing CTP and Film setter at IPEX 2010

Mimaki Engineering Co. Ltd. presents at IPEX in Birmingham from May 18 to May 25, hall 12, C120, its latest innovation for CtP and film generation, the UJF-8366. The device utilizes UV LED curing inkjet technology for production of CtP plates and films for screenprinting. The UJF-8366 features a maximum resolution of 2400 x 2400 dpi, enabling a line screen of 175 lpi on metal plates and films. The plates can, after printing, be immediately put on press thus enabling processless CtP production at print shops.
ECRM to feature new Mako 800 and Workmates products at IPEX 2010

ECRM announced they will spotlight the new ECRM MAKO 800 at the upcoming IPEX 2010 (NEC Birmingham UK, May 18-25). The MAKO 800 is an 8-up platesetter with dramatically enhanced optics. The new optics eliminate previously perceived quality gaps when comparing Violet and Thermal CTP imaging. ECRM also announced the demonstrations of their new workflow products WorkMates™ 4.0 and RIPmate™ Plus.

Fujifilm to feature brand new Xerox(r) Color 1000 Press on its stand at Ipex 2010

Fujifilm announces that it will show the newly launched Xerox(r) Color 1000 Press on its stand at Ipex (Hall 9, Stand CD360).  This new press will feature alongside the Xerox(r) 700 and DocuColor(tm) 7002 presses, XMF Workflow and Web2Print solutions in an Integrated Production area designed to showcase best-in-class digital solutions. This new 100 ppm device, which utilises Xerox(r)'s low melt, EA (Emulsion Aggregation) Dry Ink and new fusing technology, has the ability to lay down a fifth clear toner as part of its five printing units, a new addition to Xerox(r)'s production colour engine portfolio.
