GraphExpo 2010 proved a huge success for Alwan Color Expertise, with the company registering its best trade show sales since Drupa 2008. The exhibition helped the French software innovator record a 28% year-on-year revenue increase. Third generation mild solvent ink set from Mutoh

Wide format inkjet printer manufacturer Mutoh Belgium nv announces immediate availability of a new set of CMYK mild solvent inks, called MS Ultra, for its Blizzard, Spitfire 65/90 Extreme and Spitfire 100 Extreme printers.  This third generation Mutoh mild solvent ink will increase productivity through more efficient printing. “Our new MS Ultra inks have been tuned specifically to our Spitfire Extreme and Blizzard printer families, offering the highest level of image quality and printer reliability”, comments Arthur Vanhoutte, President of Mutoh’s European Operations.

Mutoh launches Viper TX Professional - Direct to Fabric printer with adhesive belt system

At the Viscom Italy 2010 exhibition wide format inkjet printer manufacturer Mutoh Belgium nv introduced an all new digital direct to fabric production printer with a moving adhesive belt system, called Viper TX Professional.  This heavy-duty piezo drop-on-demand inkjet printer has been purpose-built for direct printing onto stretchable, knitted, woven and open structure fabrics, such as PES flag, cotton, nylon, lycra, silk, poplin, etc.   The new industrial  Viper TX Professional printer from Mutoh is targeted at sample creation and production runs of customized and personalised fabrics, home decoration fabrics, sportswear, swimwear, etc.
Financial year 2010/11: Heidelberg publishes preliminary figures for the second quarter

The positive development in operational business at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) continued in the second quarter of financial year 2010/2011 (July 1 to September 30, 2010). Based on preliminary calculations, incoming orders were up on the previous year's level (EUR 534 million) at EUR 651 million, whereof some EUR 39 million is accounted for by exchange rate movements. Although this figure is lower than the previous quarter, which was boosted by special items such as exchange rate effects and trade shows, incoming orders are in line with the company's own planning.

Kodak Open House Event in Finland

Kodak is staging an Open House event with KCL, a research service company for the paper and packaging industry, and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, a Finnish-based applied research institution. The organisations will create a unique inkjet testing platform at KCL, with the aim of improving existing products and developing innovative new solutions for the forest industry. The event is being staged in Espoo, Finland, on October 13 2010.

Mimaki announces the JFX plus series featuring higher print speeds

Mimaki Engineering Co. Ltd. announces the new JFX-1631plus and JFX-1615plus UV LED curing large format printers. This series is 80% faster than its existing model JFX-1631 due to a newly implemented post-curing unit. In addition, JFX plus series can be optionally equipped with a roll unit for uninterrupted web printing. The new JFX-1631plus and JFX-1615plus will be shipped in Europe from November 2010 onwards.
