Forsyth Capital acquires third platform in twelve months with take-private transaction of Baldwin

Forsyth Capital Investors, LLC, an investment firm targeting investments in the manufacturing and insurance services sectors, announced its third platform investment in the past twelve months through the acquisition of Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. (“Baldwin”). Baldwin is a leading global supplier of process automation equipment for the print media industry and fits squarely with Forsyth Capital’s investment model as a manufacturer of highly engineered equipment with a rich history and large installed base. The acquisition was announced on December 23, 2011 and closed on March 20th.

Heidelberg expects a positive impetus for the industry

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) is showcasing around 60 innovations under the motto "Discover HEI" in Hall 1 at drupa, which is held every four years. In 2012 it is taking place from May 3 to 16 in Düsseldorf. As the most important event in the print media industry, Heidelberg expects drupa to provide a positive impetus for itself and the industry as a whole and awaits the investment backlog in key markets around the world to subside. In the run-up to the trade show, the world market leader for commercial and packaging printing solutions is announcing additional product innovations.
MGI acquires majority ownership in Köra-Packmat Maschinenbau

MGI Digital Graphic Technology, the French manufacturer of digital printing and finishing solutions, confirmed today that it has acquired majority ownership in German industrial manufacturer KÖRA-PACKMAT GmbH. MGI and KÖRA-PACKMAT have had a strategic industrial collaboration since 2005, which has now officially evolved with MGI Digital Graphic Technology’s acquisition of majority ownership in KÖRA-PACKMAT, now forming the "MGI Group".

Mutoh to showcase new lineup of valuejet printers at Fespa Digital

When the drupa advertisements appear in roughly 500 specialist publications in over 60 countries in the next few months, the letters AR in the top right-hand corner will catch your eye immediately: The advertisement is enhanced by augmented reality. If the reader views the marker, in this case the image, using a smartphone, tablet or PC/laptop camera equipped with special software (Junaio; also see www.drupa.de/hilfe), then a 3D animation starts up on the screen. You are taken directly to the drupa website by just tapping the interactive button with your finger.
