Fujifilm to feature brand new Xerox(r) Color 1000 Press on its stand at Ipex 2010

Fujifilm announces that it will show the newly launched Xerox(r) Color 1000 Press on its stand at Ipex (Hall 9, Stand CD360).  This new press will feature alongside the Xerox(r) 700 and DocuColor(tm) 7002 presses, XMF Workflow and Web2Print solutions in an Integrated Production area designed to showcase best-in-class digital solutions. This new 100 ppm device, which utilises Xerox(r)'s low melt, EA (Emulsion Aggregation) Dry Ink and new fusing technology, has the ability to lay down a fifth clear toner as part of its five printing units, a new addition to Xerox(r)'s production colour engine portfolio.
GMG Colorproof wins EDP award for best Rip solution for wide format

Agfa Graphics to Show New :Jeti 1224 UV HDC Inkjet Printer at IPEX

Agfa Graphics announced the launch of the new :Jeti 1224 UV HDC inkjet printer, which will be demonstrated for the first time in Europe at IPEX 2010 in Birmingham, UK, 18-25 May 2010. The system made its debut appearance 8 April 2010 at the International Sign Expo in Orlando, FL, USA. The :Jeti 1224 UV HDC is the first inkjet printer to be launched since Agfa acquired the :Jeti business and demonstrates the results of the combined Agfa and :Jeti research and development teams.

KBA invests €12 million in new foundry

Koenig und Bauer AG (KBA) has been manufacturing printing presses in Würzburg for almost 193 years. It was in August 1817 that Friedrich Koenig and Andreas Bauer founded the first printing press factory in the world in the former Oberzell monastery on the left banks of the River Main. The move across the river to the present-day Würzburg headquarters of the KBA Group came in 1901. Ever since that time, in other words for the past 109 years, side frames, traverses and many other parts for the printing presses have been cast there in the company's own foundry.
Fespa Munich is showcase for Xaar-enabled inkjet printers
