KODAK technology to support market expansion at colour power

Megalogos chooses Xeikon for the second time round

Xeikon, an innovator in digital color printing technology, announces that last week Megalogos installed its second Xeikon 3030 in less than two years. Apogee StoreFront 2.0 features support for variable data processing and documents of different sizes, and a more refined support for business-to-business e-commerce. Made-in-Italy printing and converting show overall stability

This was revealed by the quarterly qualitative survey carried out by Acimga, the Confindustria association of companies operating in the industry. The analysis registered members’ sentiment in the third quarter of 2013 and outlines forecasts for the year’s end.

Heidelberger significantly improved profitability

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) significantly improved profitability in the second quarter of financial year 2013/2014 (July 1 to September 30, 2013). As expected, the operating result (EBITDA) in the second quarter was clearly above the previous year's figure. EBITDA for the first half of the year also improved considerably and was positive overall. Net financial debt fell slightly due to the positive free cash flow.

hubergroup launches new universal UV ink − NewV maxX

Many of the printing presses in use today in the UV sheet-fed offset segment have to process a very wide range of substrates, from absorbent papers to non-absorbent films and foils. To achieve perfect results, then, it's necessary to frequently switch back and forth between various ink systems (UV paper inks/UV film inks). This often results in high storage costs, confusion and mix-ups between the ink systems and additional problems when washing press components and during startup due to repeated switching over of vehicle systems.
MasterMail makes the difference with a Xeikon 8500

Xeikon announces that MasterMail, a direct marketing company in Belgium, installed a Xeikon 8500. MasterMail will use this press to make the difference in multichannel direct marketing.  Daniëlle Vanwesenbeeck founded the company ten years ago. MasterMail initially specialized in mailing production coordination, but soon expanded its activities to cover production and shipment across the whole of Europe.
Antalis takes ownership of Xerox's Western European office paper distribution business

Antalis has successfully completed the acquisition of Xerox’s Western European office paper distribution business. The deal sees Antalis take ownership of Xerox’s Document Supplies Europe (DSE) business, as well as gain exclusive licensing rights to market and distribute Xerox branded paper and digital print media across 16 Western European countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom).
