Fespa premiere for new XAAR 1002 printhead family

  • Publicado el 21 de Mayo de 2014

World-leading inkjet technology developer, and FESPA Technology Partner, Xaar, presents the incredible transformative power of its industrial inkjet printheads at FESPA Digital 2014, 20-23 May, Munich.

Visitors to the Xaar booth (Booth B1/170) will discover not only how display graphics and packaging companies are benefitting from the ability of Xaar printheads to deliver significant print performance, but also how manufacturers can drive down costs, reduce waste, improve process efficiency and move to just-in-time production.

From the biggest, vibrant billboards to the smallest, most complex 2D data codes, Xaar's digital inkjet technologies are transforming print processes in markets as diverse as graphics, labels, direct-to-shape packaging, ceramics, laminate flooring and advanced manufacturing (e.g. printed electronics, display screens and semiconductors).

At FESPA Digital, Xaar highlights the Xaar 1002, a new and highly versatile family of printheads which delivers superb levels of quality and production reliability to a wide variety of scanning and single-pass applications.  Available in a choice of picolitre drop sizes, the greyscale Xaar 1002 gives the UV inkjet printing market the freedom to choose the best printhead for a specific application: from high-resolution text and images with smooth tones, to single-pass, high-build spot varnishes and extra-opaque whites.

The Xaar 1002 incorporates patented TF Technology™ ink recirculation which delivers unbeatable performance when printing, decorating, patterning, depositing functional coatings on, or adding structure to, a variety of industrial and consumer products. Today, leading manufacturers worldwide choose Xaar’s printheads because they are extremely precise, exceptionally versatile, incredibly reliable, and designed for high-volume production.

In the wide-format graphics industry specifically, AEG and INX Digital are the first printer manufacturers to launch Xaar 1002-enabled printers. The AEG series of Voyager Pro combination flat-bed and roll-fed UV-curable printers – launched earlier this month – are available in a range of  width and colour configurations, and provide the ability to print white and metallic ink. AEG has chosen the Xaar 1002 printhead for its drop placement accuracy, production reliability, and its ability to generate uniform drop volumes, even with the most demanding of fluids.

At FESPA, INX Digital will launch a series of wide-format UV- printers that use the Xaar 1002 printhead to deliver the ultimate in quality and productivity. Visit the INX Digital booth (B1/368) to learn more and see the new printer in action.

Plus, Xaar’s Richard Darling explores the power of inkjet in two free ‘Hub’ sessions during FESPA Digital: Inkjet as an industrial process: 11.00-11.30am on Wednesday 21st May in the Digital Hub. In this session Richard investigates bringing industrial single-pass printhead technologies into the graphics sector and extending the capability for wide-format printers to reach beyond advertising products. Digital Tech Time: 3.30-4.30pm on Thursday 22nd May. A panel of inkjet specialists explores the new markets for digital print developments and looks at new directions for inkjet technology.

“The new Xaar 1002 family of printheads is attracting the interest of many printer manufacturers – particularly those wanting to offer the ability to print high-opacity and high-viscosity inks and fluids – alongside traditional CMYK. The power of the Xaar 1002 to deliver the ultimate in quality, productivity and reliability, coupled with the flexibility to choose the best model for a specific application, makes it the perfect choice for the next generation of scanning and single-pass printers,” says Mark Alexander, Director of Marketing at Xaar.
