Excellent registration status earlier than ever for Heimtextil 2016

  • Publicado el 02 de Julio de 2015

Heimtextil, the leading International Trade Fair for Home and Contract Textiles, is experiencing overwhelming popularity in terms of booth registrations, around seven months before the next event. Even more companies have registered for the upcoming Heimtextil (12 to 15 January 2016) in Frankfurt than at the same time last year.

This includes many companies who had not exhibited for one or more years or indeed are coming to Heimtextil for the first time. Ashley Wilde Designs, Coulisse, Libeco, Lienesch, Mode srl and Snurk are among the companies who have already registered for the next Heimtextil at this early stage.

‘We are enthusiastic about the current registration status and feel the diverse measures we have taken for the international home and contract textiles sector have been rewarded,’ explains Olaf Schmidt, Vice-President for Textiles & Textile Technologies. ‘We have received very positive feedback regarding putting our concept, future topics such as digital printing and, in particular, our newly conceived theme park at the centre of the event. But what we offer regarding contract business and the topic of sustainability is also becoming more and more important and confirms our position as the most important platform in the sector worldwide.’

As a new exhibitor, one of the main reasons Snurk founder Erik van Loo decided to attend Heimtextil and present in the high-value area of Hall 11.0 was the international orientation: ‘In recent years, sales of our original photo print bedding have increasingly moved from department stores towards specialist bed retail, so it is a logical step for our company to exhibit at Heimtextil. We are looking forward to the international business in Frankfurt. Almost 80% of our sales are international.’

Heimtextil is currently experiencing high demand in the area of decorative and furniture textiles. To provide more room for the growing product area in Hall 4.1, the area offered as of Heimtextil 2016 has been given a major increase in Hall 4.0. Among others, Italian firm Enzo Degli will return in Hall 4.0. In addition, Hall 4.0 will again offer an increased area devoted to the growth segment of digital printing. Here, Heimtextil presents the expert attendees with a comprehensive range of the latest technologies from leading international printing machine manufacturers.

For the first time at the last Heimtextil, the Green Village provided a centre of expertise for sustainability, in which seal providers and certifiers faced questions and discussion topics from the attendees. The Green Village is moving to Hall 8.0 for the upcoming Heimtextil. The Wednesday and Thursday of the trade fair are the ‘Sustainability Days’ in the lecture area of the Green Village. There, the talks from seal providers and other industry experts will be all about sustainability.

Next year, Heimtextil begins as early as Tuesday and ends on Friday. This alteration by those in charge of the trade fair meets the wishes of many exhibitors and visitors. A survey of exhibitors two years in a row showed a clear preference for the new schedule.  The next Heimtextil in Frankfurt am Main takes place from Tuesday 12 to Friday 15 January 2016.
