Grafikontrol, a leading control systems manufacturer for the printing industry, will be attending Labelexpo from September 29 to October 2 in Brussels. Visitors can see the full features of the LYNEX system for quality control on printing presses. The system will be introduced at Advanced Machinery’s stand, no. 6C24. Advanced Machinery is Grafikontrol’s sales agent for Belgium and the Netherlands.

LYNEX is Grafikontrol’s newest system for 100% inspection of the printed web. LYNEX guarantees automatic detection and classification of every defect. LYNEX also provides production analysis and data collection. The system displays a real-time, high resolution, full width image of every print repeat to the operator.

The system is composed of one or more linear colour cameras. These can operate at production speeds of up to 900 m/min while maintaining perfect image resolution. LYNEX is suitable for inspection on any type of printing presses. The white LED lighting ensures quality and light distribution without image degradation, even on metalized or other difficult surfaces.

In addition to Advanced Machinery, we will be participating with live demonstrations of LYNEX at Omet’s booth (no. 6C49/6C53) and Lombardi Converting Machinery’s booth (no. 11C38), these three locations will showcase the full functionalities of LYNEX under various label printing configurations.

The worldwide label market is continuously growing and European label production has more than doubled in the last fifteen years (FINAT data). At the same time, demand for higher quality and reduced waste have also grown. These demands of the market have increased the need for higher technology in defect detection equipment, such as Grafikontrol’s LYNEX system.

“We want to make our products known within the label market, where control systems are already a must,” says Paolo De Grandis, Grafikontrol sales director and shareholder. “The label sector is relatively new for us. Labels are the natural extension of the success that Grafikontrol has achieved in the large format package printing market. Since we started working with narrow-web press manufacturers, Grafikontrol has already installed multiple systems at some important label printers in Italy and Europe,” continues De Grandis. “This is our first Labelexpo as an exhibitor; we are optimistic about the results of the show and therefore plan to attend more exhibitions in the future.”
