Positive results following the world's largest printing machine fair in Dusseldorf for KBA

Unlike any previous drupa, the 15th staging of the world's largest and most important print media fair demonstrated the capacity for innovation and the sustainability of the printing industry and welcomed a huge number of visitors. The increased number of visitors from South and Central America, who made up 8.5 per cent of the total number of visitors compared with 7.4 per cent in 2008, is particularly remarkable. KBA-MePrint AG regards this high-profile event as a success. Visitor numbers, the level of international representation and the quality of the visitors all exceeded expectations.
Mimaki enjoys major success at drupa 2012

Mimaki reported a successful conclusion to its presence at drupa 2012, the world’s leading print exhibition, where the company launched a number of new products. Attendees provided very positive feedback about the Mimaki’s new JFX500 series, a next-generation high-speed UV-LED flatbed inkjet printer, the new JV400-LX, a wide-format printer that uses low curing latex inks, and the new JV400-SUV, an inkjet printer equipped with solvent UV ink. Visitors to the Mimaki stand were especially impressed by the quality, speed and low curing temperature of these innovative systems.

Gidue extends the drupa experience with open house event

GIDUE provided the perfect complementary experience to drupa by staging at an Open House dedicated to the event. The company’s Florence factory has been busy for 15 days, accommodating converters who extended their trip to drupa in Dusseldorf and visited GIDUE’s manufacturing plant in Italy. The Open House proved very popular, with GIDUE securing a number of sales at the event, building on its strong sales growth during 2012.
Heidelberger draws a positive balance of drupa

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) draws a positive balance of the drupa 2012 trade show. As expected, the show delivered a significant stimulus to investment in the print media industry. "The level of incoming orders during the show indicates that confidence within the industry in returning. The investment backlog is continuing to unwind in many parts of the world. We have received almost 2,000 orders from over 80 countries, including some 550 for sheetfed offset presses alone. The volume of orders at the show is therefore equivalent to around half of the production of printing units over the past financial year," stated Bernhard Schreier, Heidelberg CEO.

Hybrid Software reports that the show has far exceeded its expectations, with 580 demonstrations of its Order Lifecycle Management concept given over the 14-day event. Orders worth a total of more than one million Euros were placed during Drupa by companies from around the world, representing a wide range of market sectors. These include many industry leading names such as Janoschka Kippenheim and Schäfer Etiketten, Germany, Kirk Group, Australia, Steurs Graphic Solutions, Belgium, and ColorOnDemand, USA.

Presstek and Highcon demonstrate an all digital packaging solution

Presstek, Inc. a leading supplier of digital offset printing solutions to the printing and communications industries, reported that during drupa 2012, held at Messe Dusseldorf, Presstek partnered with digital finishing company Highcon to demonstrate the value of high quality short run offset printing combined with digital cutting and creasing for the folding carton market. Sheets printed on a Presstek DI digital offset press were converted using the Highcon Euclid and made available to visitors during the show.
Fujifilm breaks all previous records at drupa 2012
